Attorney at law, registered at the Czech Bar Association under registration number 4784.
He was born in 1953 in Zlín. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles university in Prague in 1981; he had graduated from the Business Faculty of the Economics University in Prague in 1978.
From 1994–1997 he completed internships and seminars at the New York Financial Institute, at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and at the SEC International Institute in Washington.
From 1978–1992 he worked in the Czechoslovak diplomatic service of the Foreign Ministry as a lawyer and career diplomat. He was an ambassador from 1990–1992.
From 1992 to 1997 he was the deputy of the secretary-general of the Prague Stock Exchange. He has been working at the firm since 1997 and has become a partner since 1999.
Currently he is also the chairman of the court of arbitration of the Prague Stock Exchange, and since 2001 has been a lecturer at the Law Faculty of Zapadoceska university (Western Bohemian University) in Plzen.
He specialises in business, financial, banking and administrative law, securities law, telecommunications law, real estate law, criminal law and international law.
