We Give Advice in Implementing the Idea of the Year

22.06.2010

For the second year in a row VKŠ supported the business project competition, which this time fell under the name, the UniCredit Bank Idea of 2010. A young business fraternity organizes the Institute for the Development of Entrepreneurship (IDE) through the Prague University of Economics (VŠE) along with a panel of experienced entrepreneurs, managers, investors and even media representatives, where once again VKŠ attorney at law and partner Jakub Joska had been a member. In his opinion, the quality of the registered ideas for this year was much higher than the previous one, making the final decision a difficult task.

In this years third annual competition, all together there were 93 projects registered and once again successfulness was judged according to practicability, process quality, originality, and further potential growth. In the final round of judging there were additional aspects being assessed including the personal characteristics of the individual who would be carrying out the project.

Amongst several tough competitors Štěpán Bartyzal had won with his project UkažJakBydlíš.cz. The project pertains to an Internet photo-bank of housing interiors and exteriers, whereby the user would be able to obtain ideas concerning their own housing solutions. According to Štěpán Bartyzal’s words, it will be a portal which is 90% comprised of pictures and only 10% written subject-matter. The site allows any visitor to gain additional inspiration or perhaps even pick out a furnisher based on an already existing project for companies which could for a small fee present your products.

Second place was awarded to Jaroslav Škrabálek for his project Takeplace, which concerns web services for planning and organizing events. Jaroslav Poul finished in third place with his projects INsolveReader, which is software that automatically monitors whether or not certain business partner firms were embarking on insolvency proceedings.

The celebrated announcement of the victors and the awarding of prizes took place on May 19th, 2010 at the Prague University of Economics where the winners also received legal counselling in the amount of 50,000 Kč from the law firm Vyroubal Krajhanz Školout.

VKŠ is working together with the Institute for the Development of Entrepreneurship (IDE) even on other projects. A format of specialized seminars helps acquaint students with legislation connected to enterprise and it also provides legal consulting services for the activities of young individuals in the entrepreneurial incubator at VŠE. Therefore, it’s no wonder that the projects being represented were of high quality and quite professional, be them still in most cases submitted more often by students.
