VKS attourney at law Vit Berka took part in a panel discussion concerning current questions pertaining to insolvency and company restructuring, which was organized by EURO weekly at the Mandarin Oriental hotel on the 26th of May.

VKS partner and attorney at law, Dr. Petr Vyroubal, had been called to the chair of the Chamber’s Supervisory Board.

At the beginning of May 2009, VKŠ bid welcome to clients and friends into their new premises in Slovanský Dům, into which they had moved the autumn of last year.

VKS attorney at law, Peter Compel', participated in the international symposium on the topic of "practices with regard to forgery and the registration of copyright in various countries", which in April this year during the 130th anniversary of its' existence, aligned with the Istanbul Bar Association. Its' benefit was focused on problems of unauthorized use of copyrights, legal regulations and forgery practices in the Czech Republic.

The Istanbul Bar Association (Istanbul Barosu) celebrated the 130th anniversary of their existence at the end of April this year. VKS partner and attorney at law, Peter Compel' was appointed to give congratulations and shake hands with President IB Kazima Kolcuoĝlua for the Czech Bar Association. At this honourific meeting both deputies of the Bar Association subsequently gave valueable information about the effectiveness and regulations of their professional organizations.

Vyroubal Krajhanzl Školout, Law Firm, Ltd. has become a partner of the Business project competition called “Idea Worth Millions”. VKŠ will provide legal service to the winner for the start-up phase of their project in a total value of 45 000 CZK.

VKŠ together with the Institute for the Development of Entrepreneurship (IDE) an internal department of the Faculty of Business Administration at Prague University of Economics supports young entrepreneurs to build and successfully run their own businesses.

VKŠ has been named the seventh largest Law Firm in the Czech Republic (according to the total number of lawyers) by the magazine Czech Business Weekly. This issue with a list of Czech Law Firms was published February 16, 2009.

Vyroubal Krajhanzl Školout, Ltd. sponsored the Japanese Movie Festival of the contemporary Japanese film “Eigasai 2009”. The festival was held at the Lucerna Cinema in Prague during the last week of January 2009.
