Petra Buzkova Attorney at law, registered in the Czech Bar Association under registration number 11271. She was born in Prague in 1965. After completing her studies at Jan Kepler grammar school in Prague she went to Charles University in Prague where she graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1989; in the same year she passed her state viva voce and was awarded the title of JUDr. From 1992 until 1999 she worked as an articled clerk at JUDr. Ladislav Polák's law firm. From 1992 until 1996 she was a member of the Czech National Council/Chamber of Deputies of Parliament. In 1996 she was elected 1st deputy leader of the Chamber of Deputies and she held this office until 2002. From 2002 until 2006 she was the Czech Minister of Education, Youth and Sports. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles university in Prague in 1981; he had graduated from the Business Faculty of the Economics University in Prague in 1978. From 1994–1997 he completed internships and seminars at the New York Financial Institute, at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and at the SEC International Institute in Washington.
